‘Frustrated’ Roche turns on colleagues for yes vote defeat

EUROPE Minister Dick Roche last night turned on Government colleagues for failing to sell the Lisbon Treaty to voters.

Mr Roche said he was “frustrated” at how the yes campaign was run and indicated he felt sidelined in the run-up to the referendum.

“I would have to say I was frustrated right across the yes vote,” Mr Roche said when pressed whether he thought fellow ministers had done enough to persuade voters of the treaty’s merits.
