Gardaí appeal for witnesses to serious sexual assault

GARDAÍ are searching for a man who carried out a serious sexual assault on a woman while she was on her way home from a night out.

The alleged attack is said to have taken place on the side of a busy road in Glanmire, Co Cork.

A senior garda spokesman said the woman, in her 30s, had been socialising in the BK2 bar in the Crestfield Shopping Centre.
