ICMSA recommends a yes vote

THE national council of the Irish Creamery Milk Suppliers Association has unanimously agreed to recommend a yes vote on the Lisbon treaty.

It followed a report to the meeting by the Association’s president Jackie Cahill of commitments he had obtained from Taoiseach Brian Cowen.

“I was pleased to report that I got a clear commitment from the Taoiseach that Ireland would use the veto to block any agreement which is unacceptable to Ireland or undermines the Irish agricultural interests.
