Drivers must use M50 toll once a week to save money

MOTORISTS using the new M50 barrier-free tolling system will have to make the West-Link crossing more than 50 times annually to benefit from the “cheapest” toll option.

Car owners who are not already signed up to an electronic tag system will end up paying €52 in the first 12 months to avail of the cheapest €2 toll under the new eFlow pricing system.

An average of 95,000 vehicles cross the West-Link daily, 70% paying by cash.
