Work has just been completed to make the 26 acres development site, situated at Benamore, on the Dublin side of the town, ready to promote to industrialists.

Ms Hoctor said: “With the potential to create up to 1,000 new jobs, Roscrea Business and Technology Park will be a major asset in our industry infrastructure for many years to come. This new business park, combined with Birr Technology Centre, Tipperary Technology Park in Thurles, and the other network of business parks already established by Shannon Development, is tangible evidence of the company’s commitment to drive economic growth in Roscrea and the whole North Tipperary and Offaly area. Roscrea Business and Technology Park is a perfect example of the ideal business park location in that it provides the facilities, visibility and access which business people are always looking for, and is situated in a prime location.”

Shannon Development has produced a new brochure for the site which it will market in conjunction with the IDA and Enterprise Ireland.

Kevin Thompstone, chief executive of Shannon Development said: “Roscrea Business and Technology Park is another jewel in North Tipperary’s industrial crown and an additional asset in our quest to provide top quality tailor-made property solutions to entice investors to this area.
