2,500 celebrate great outdoors at science festival

MORE than 2,500 people from the south-east revelled in this year’s Bealtaine Festival of Outdoor Science, a week-long event which saw them embrace the great outdoors.

The festival, organised by Waterford Institute of Technology’s science team CALMAST, celebrated the International Year of Planet Earth.

Venues like the JFK Arboretum; Wexford Wildfowl Centre; Fenor Bog and the National Biodiversity Data Collection
