ANOTHER of Cork’s electronics manufacturers is to close, bringing to three the number of electronics firms that have gone out of business in the city in little more than a year.

Staff stunned as 138 jobs go at electronics firm

Hormann Electronics, based at Mahon Technology Park in Blackrock, shut yesterday with the loss of all 138 jobs. It had been in receivership for the past week.

Motorola and Bourns Electronics, also based in Mahon, both closed last year with a combined loss of 410 jobs.
