Taoiseach invokes JFK at drive to promote US investment in North

BRIAN COWEN invoked the late John F Kennedy on his first day as taoiseach yesterday when promoting the North as an investment location.

Mr Cowen was addressing senior business executives at the US-Northern Ireland investment conference in Stormont, Belfast.

“The message of this conference is not just about what you can do for Northern Ireland,” he said in a reverse of JFK’s famous inaugural address. “It is what Northern Ireland, and the island of Ireland, can do for you.”
