AER LINGUS bosses have apologised to each of the 300 passengers caught up in last week’s €5 flights to the US fiasco.

The passengers thought they had scooped the chance to fly to the US in the luxury of business class for next to nothing after spotting seats for €5 on the airline’s bookings website.

But Aer Lingus cancelled their bookings, arguing a technical error meant business class seats normally selling for €1,775 each way were wrongly sold for €5.
