Lynn’s wine up for auction

A HUGE wine collection belonging to fugitive solicitor Michael Lynn will go under the hammer in Dublin next week.

Herman and Wilkinson auctioneers will be selling the rogue solicitor’s bottles at its sale rooms in Rathmines.

Managing director David Herman said: “The items are expected to be delivered on Tuesday and will be available for public viewing on Wednesday afternoon.

“They will go before auction on Thursday morning.

“We haven’t seen the wine collection yet so we don’t know what is involved.”

The Dublin City Sheriff’s Office is disposing of the wine after seizing it from Mr Lynn’s luxury home in Sandymount.

Mr Lynn, whose whereabouts are unknown, owes more than €80 million to Irish banks and faces multiple legal actions. He failed to appear in the High Court in December.

He faces arrest if he returns to Ireland and is also being investigated by the Law Society over his property and financial dealings.

His home at 20 St Alban’s Park, Sandymount, failed to reach its guide price of €1.85m earlier this month and was withdrawn from sale.

As many as 300 Irish investors, including Fine Gael TD Frank Feighan, handed more than €5m to Lynn for apartments in Eastern Europe.
