Intercounty golf charity challenge swings into action

INTERCOUNTY golf rivalry is to take on a whole new dimension with the advent of the South East Cancer Foundation Golf challenge which has just swung into action across the five counties.

“Everyone has been touched somehow or another by cancer,” tournament director Mailo Power said as she addressed those gathered for the launch of the Five County Golf Challenge.

“Golfers realise how lucky they are to be fit enough to take to the fairways and play 18 holes of golf. Club members are thrilled to do something to support this great cause,” she added.
