Ahern rejects weakening of Cowen support

TAOISEACH Bertie Ahern has dismissed as “nonsense” suggestions that Tánaiste Brian Cowen’s support for him is weakening.

Mr Ahern also insisted that the Fianna Fáil party, including both his ministers and backbenchers, were “totally” behind him.

Mr Ahern was speaking in Austria, where he is on a state visit.
