Garda division changes to affect residents

CHANGES in the Garda management of outlying areas of Limerick city will pose a threat to a number of neighbourhoods located across the Clare boundary, it was claimed yesterday.

At present, areas including Parteen, Meelick, Clonlara, Ardnacrusha and Westbury are in the Limerick Garda division administrative area.

When the Garda station at Ardnacrusha is not operating, reports of crime are dealt with by Limerick city gardaí a few minutes drive away.
