THE co-location hospital plan for Cork is a “win-win situation” for patients and the State, said the man behind the project last night.

Michael Cullen, the chief executive of the Beacon Medical Group, made the comments as his consortium tried to ease local concerns about the €250 million project earmarked for a two acre site on the Cork University Hospital campus.

Enterprise Minister Micheál Martin has described the project as “not sustainable” on that site.
