Man charged over car killing

A MAN has been charged in connection with the death of a 66-year-old who was knocked down and killed by a car outside his son’s home in west Dublin on Saturday.

Pensioner Michael Duffy was believed to have been killed following an altercation, which gardaí said involved an earlier attempt to steal his son’s car.

Officers arrested a 27-year-old man at the scene on Saturday morning. Yesterday afternoon they also arrested a woman, aged 21. She was being questioned at Blanchardstown Garda Station last night.
