Dunphy to give evidence on bribery allegation

EAMON DUNPHY is due to be questioned by the Mahon Tribunal this Friday over his sensational bribery and corruption claims against Bertie Ahern.

The broadcaster has alleged to tribunal lawyers that Cork-based developer Owen O’Callaghan told him he gave the money to the Taoiseach in return for political favours.

Mr Dunphy claims the businessman told him, in the mid-1990s, Mr Ahern “had been bought” and “that he had taken money”.
