Radical proposals to target underage drinking

RADICAL proposals on amending the liquor laws to curb rampant underage drinking will be brought to government during 2008, the chairman of the Dáil Justice committee said yesterday.

Peter Power, TD said: “The reality which the government is faced with is clear.”

Excessive consumption of alcohol by children, is now worse than the drugs problem, he said.
