Civil and public sectors await pay hike decision
The Public Service Benchmarking Body, the government-appointed group that reviews how public sector pay compares with the private sector, will release its second report this week.
The body recommended average increases of less than 9% in its first benchmarking report five years ago in order to bring the salaries of public service employees in line with their private sector counterparts.
