ONE of the country’s largest hospitals has said it will investigate an incident in which a man was prevented from taking a final photograph of his dying wife with their three young children.

St James Hospital in Dublin said it would be contacting the bereaved husband and would apologise if it was found he was unfairly treated.

The ordeal of the man, who used the pseudonym Paul, was revealed on RTÉ’s Liveline radio programme when he recounted what happened in his wife’s last days as she lost her battle with breast cancer.
