Expert details cocaine carnage

A HORRIFIC picture of people who became uncontrollably violent and disturbed after taking cocaine was painted yesterday by trauma specialist, Dr Chris Luke.

Dr Luke, who is based in Cork University Hospital, said he had seen the entire spectrum of cocaine complications that tended to begin with spectacularly bad behaviour.

“You get young men disgorged from ambulances who are in a state of complete paranoid psychopathic agitation,” he said.
