Man hospitalised after vicious street attack

A MAN in his mid-20s remained in a critical condition in hospital last night following a vicious street attack in Cork city that left him with head injuries.

Gardaí said the injured man, who is understood to be from the Killarney area, seemed to be the victim of a motiveless attack.

It is believed his attacker may have kicked him in the head repeatedly.
