Harney the one person not to blame, says Ahern

TAOISEACH Bertie Ahern last night strongly defended Health Minister Mary Harney, contending that her record was almost without parallel in Irish politics.

Speaking in the Dáil during the debate on a motion of no confidence in the Health Minster, Mr Ahern said no fault lay with her.

“One person who is not to blame and will not be found to be blameworthy is Mary Harney.
