AN IRISH Examiner survey, which found post was taking as long as four days to arrive, is to be debated in the Oireachtas next week.

The survey, published on Monday, revealed just 72.8% of mail posted in Ireland arrived the next day and more than one in four letters was late.

On Wednesday Fine Gael senators are to debate the Irish Examiner’s findings, which placed An Post among Europe’s worst-performing postal services.
