Daughter’s poignant tribute to ‘the best mam’

A MOTHER who fell to her death from the fourth floor at Tallaght Hospital in Dublin told her children practically every day that she loved them, a priest told mourners at her funeral yesterday.

Geraldine Maher, a married woman in her 40s from Somerville Park in Crumlin, was being treated at the psychiatric ward at the ground floor of the acute hospital.

The mother of four fell from a balcony inside the building last Saturday evening and died later that night.
