Nurses attend funeral of woman in hospital fall

A MOTHER of five who fell to her death from the fourth floor at Tallaght Hospital in Dublin last weekend will be buried today following her funeral Mass.

Geraldine Maher, a married woman from Somerville Park in Crumlin, was being treated in the hospital’s psychiatric ward on the ground floor.

The woman, believed to be in her 40s, fell from a balcony inside the building on Saturday evening and many staff, patients and visitors witnessed the incident.
