Punter scoops €55,000 as lucky bet pays off

A LUCKY Boylesports customer in the Mill Road shop in Midleton, Co Cork, is today €55,904.63 richer after a €20 each way accumulator on four different horses netted him the big windfall.

The Boylesports customer is Richard Purcell, originally from England. Mr Purcell placed a bet (€20 each way) on four horses racing in Kempton on Wednesday and all of his selections won.

He placed an accumulator bet on Ishibee in the 7.50pm race in Kempton at 6/1, Top Tiger in the 8.20pm race in Kempton at 5/2, Ommadawn at 14/1 in the 8.50pm in Kempton and Forced Upon Us at 13/2 in Kempton in the 9.20pm race. The lucky bet was placed at 5.40pm in Midleton and all the prices were starting prices.
