Gardaí: 25% of gunshots fired in Limerick

ALMOST a quarter of all gunshots fired by criminals nationally are discharged in Limerick.

After another outbreak of gun attacks in the city, it was confirmed yesterday that up to 25% of all illegal discharges of firearms in the State now occur in the city.

Members of the Keane/Collopy gang are suspected of being responsible for four gun attacks early yesterday and late the previous night.
