Cork route to Bratislava announced
Low fares airline SkyEurope will from October 30 operate flights from Cork at midday on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays with return flights leaving Bratislava at 9.50am. The route will be served by the 149-seat Boeing 737-700 aircraft.
One-way fares for November were available online yesterday for €20.
Chief executive James Bitter, has a Cork-born grandfather which is part of the reason the airline chose Cork, said spokesman, Tomasz Zeglinski.
Slovak Ambassador to Ireland, Jan Gabor, said: “I hope the new route will encourage not just Irish tourists to visit my country, but more investors too.”
