Junior Cert results to be released

THE results of this year’s Junior Certificate exams will be issued to more than 57,000 anxious students at schools around the country tomorrow.

The grades will be distributed at more than 730 second-level schools in the morning before teenagers take off on various celebrations of their achievements.

Teachers and business leaders will be hoping to see a continued improvement in grades in maths and science. Last year, there was a marked increase in higher level maths candidates getting an honours grade (A, B or C) and more than four -out -of- five who took the first higher level examination of the new science syllabus got a similar grade.
