THE funeral will take place tomorrow of the Co Limerick man who committed suicide hours after being allowed home from the psychiatric wing of the Mid-Western Regional Hospital.

Patrick Cregan, 56, was found dead at his rented house in Carrickerry on Tuesday afternoon.

The previous day, a doctor and a garda had arranged for him to be admitted as an involuntary patient after he was found in a distressed state with signs of a suicide attempt in his house.
