Bebo tributes flood in from Derek’s friends

FRIENDS and former school mates of Derek Cumiskey’s paid tribute to him yesterday, with many leaving messages of love and remembrance on the Dublin teenager’s personal Bebo internet page.

Derek introduced himself to friends online saying all his friends knew him as “Gummo”.

“I love hanging out with me mates and going drinking on the wknds. Leave me a comment if you want and il get back to you...,” he wrote.

Friends left their last comments for him yesterday.

“RIP, rest in peace Derek. We know ur gone to a better place. Bu u went before ur time was due. Locked in all our hearts forever, ur going to be missed more than ul ever know,” wrote a female friend.

“Everybody loved u so much ur ya Ma’s pride n joy n always will be. Can’t believe ur gone.”

A male friend from Ringsend added: “Gummo RIP legend for life.”

Derek dedicated much of his website page to R&B singers — as well as his friend Alan Young who was stabbed to death earlier this in Dublin.

The 19-year-old friend had himself only graduated from the same school as Derek last year, also after finishing his Junior Certificate.
