File sent to DPP after arson attack on HSE building

GARDAÍ are to send a file to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) in connection with an arson attack that severely damaged the southern headquarters of the Health Service Executive at the weekend.

A man in his 40s who was arrested for questioning in connection with the incident was released without charge from Garda custody at about midnight yesterday.

He was arrested on Sunday afternoon in the Victoria Cross area of the city after gardaí viewed CCTV footage taken from the building.
