Duran Duran — a blast from the past for ’80s fans

WARMING themselves up for a busy weekend of concerts, popular ’80s band Duran Duran delivered a nostalgic performance to a sellout audience at the Live at the Marquee series last night.

The multi-platinum selling band launched into a medley of both old hits and new, including the iconic Rio, Planet Earth and Hungry like the Wolf, sending fans — particularly the 30-something brigade — back in time, to the days of their youth.

“It’s all the old songs we used to dance to at the town hall in Skibbereen,” said Ann O’Sullivan from Mallow who was at the concert last night with her friend, Trish O’Brien, from Rochestown.
