Mother sent forward for trial over daughter’s death

THE mother of a teenage girl found dead at her family home last year has been sent forward for trial charged with her murder.

Lynn Gibbs is charged with murdering her 16-year-old daughter, Ciara, at the family home in Killure, Gowran, Co Kilkenny, some time during the night of November 25/26 last.

She appeared before Dun Laoghaire District Court yesterday where Judge Clare Leonard was told that investigating gardaí had formally served the book of evidence on the accused and her case was ready to be sent forward for hearing.
