Cabinet members sworn in at Áras

THE new Cabinet hit the ground running last night with its first meeting immediately following the swearing-in of members at Áras an Uachtaráin.

Ministers travelled to receive their seals of office from the President by bus, apart from the Taoiseach and Tánaiste, who arrived separately.

Green energy minister Eamon Ryan had promised to cycle to the Áras for the ceremony, but decided against that more environmentally friendly option.
