OPPOSITION parities yesterday said the decision to move the Central Mental Hospital to the site of a new super-prison should be reviewed by the next Government.

The Labour party’s spokeswoman on health, Liz McManus would not say whether it would be an issue in any possible negotiations with Fianna Fáil in the formation of the next Government.

“I’m not going to say what’s going to be bargained over, I’m not in a position to say that. I just feel this issue should be reviewed and at the end of the day, best medical practice needs to prevail.”
