Complaints made over candidates’ texts
As part of the most hi-tech general election ever, a number of candidates sent out a large number of texts asking for a number one vote.
Tony Delaney of the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner said yesterday a number of complaints had been received — but there was nothing illegal in what Dáil hopefuls were doing.
