Fall in county’s jobless

DESPITE a number of job loss announcements this year, Cork has witnessed a decrease in the number of people signing on the live register.

But unemployment figures have not changed significantly for the good in Kerry and Limerick.

Overall there were 578 fewer people signing on last month in Cork city and county compared to the same period in 2006.
