McDowell wants to keep trucking

TÁNAISTE Michael McDowell last night insisted it was not hypocritical to claim to back eco-friendly bio-fuels while still being driven around in a gas guzzling Mercedes.

The PD leader insisted he was pro-green as he launched his party’s environmental policies which he said allowed for economic growth.

“I have a ministerial Merc which is one of the oldest in the fleet and I am quite happy to keep using it.
