Marriage is for life, say 98% of couples

MARRIAGE is for life, say couples who took part in the first ever study conducted in Ireland.

Before getting married, more than half the couples in the survey had lived together for three years.

The study of 712 couples, who had been married for the seven years from 1999 to 2005, was commissioned by Accord, the Catholic marriage care service.
