Who to trust as election promises raise hopes

WHATEVER they might all say, claim or allege, the political parties have all firmly entered the auction room and the votes of parents and teachers are certainly key currencies in their attempts to get their hands on Lot One: a place in Government.

But the question on the minds of those for whom education will be a top priority on polling day is: Who should I believe?

The debate about class sizes, particularly for primary schools, has probably been the most publicly aired in education terms in recent weeks and months.
