Health is top Leaders’ Questions issue

HEALTH has dominated Dáil exchanges between Taoiseach Bertie Ahern and opposition leaders to an extraordinary extent this year.

An analysis by the Irish Examiner of the topics raised during the twice-weekly Leaders’ Questions shows almost half the questions related to health.

Surprisingly, another of the big issues of the general election, crime, hardly featured between the end of January and last Wednesday, the last Leaders’ Questions before the Easter break.
