AN escalation of an industrial dispute could threaten the future of the Liebherr crane company in Kerry.

SIPTU members late last week refused to cooperate with non-union drivers making deliveries, or collecting consignments, from the factory in Killarney, the company claimed.

“This reckless action has immediate, critical implications for the continuing operation of our manufacturing facilities,” Liebherr personnel manager Tom Foley warned in a circular to staff.
