Childcare staff ‘relieved’ at TB results

SCREENING for TB at a childcare facility in Cork where six people tested positive earlier this week has been completed with no additional positive results.

Yesterday Mark Malone, the owner of Panda Paws in Little Island, Co Cork, said they were relieved at the news.

In a statement Mr Malone said: “The management and staff of Panda Paws are delighted to say that the results of Tuesday’s screening are not a cause for further concern. From speaking to all our parents this morning, the indications are that no further investigations will be necessary. We wish to thank all the parents for their support in this difficult and worrying time.”
