Firm warns of reliance on building sector

A DOWNTURN in the building industry would have major implications for employment in Kerry, it was warned yesterday.

With huge job losses in the manufacturing industry in the county in recent years, people have become increasingly dependent on construction and tourism for employment.

More than 2,500 industrial jobs have been lost in Kerry in a decade.
