Appeal for help identifying woman’s body

GARDAÍ appealed for help last night in identifying a woman whose body was recovered from the River Lee in Cork yesterday.

A man on a boat spotted the remains of the middle-aged woman floating on the water just off the old pier at Blackrock village at around noon.

Gardaí were alerted immediately and the body was recovered at about 12.20pm. It had been in the water for a short time only.
