Gardaí reveal plan for CCTV roll-out

THE watchful eye of town centre CCTV systems are to become a reality in some of Ireland’s fastest-growing towns, it has emerged.

Gardaí have invited tenders to supply the systems to Drogheda, Tallaght, Mullingar, Waterford, Portlaoise, Kilkenny, Sligo, Castlebar and Ennis.

The successful contractors will also have responsibility for maintenance of the cameras.
