County ‘needs to be more inventive’

THE manager of Co Cork wants to coordinate large scale developments with various Government departments and fast-track grant aid for such projects.

Martin Riordan said the speed at which the county’s population had grown in the past four years had placed serious demands on infrastructure.

Such demands, he said, would have to be addressed far quicker than initially anticipated.
