Taoiseach in contention for Survivor of the Year award

It is no surprise that Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has been nominated as Survivor of the Year in Magill magazine's political awards.

But so adept was he at surviving BertieGate that he is also in contention for the outright ‘Politician of the Year award’.

Mr Ahern is one of the nominees for politician of the year in the current affairs’ magazine awards, now in its third year.
