HEALTH insurer VIVAS has called on the Competition Authority to formally investigate “anti-competitive” actions by the VHI.

It comes after a report released yesterday found the position of the VHI was hindering competition in the Private Health Insurance market.

“We call on the Competition Authority to mount a formal investigation into VHI behaviour with a view to taking legal action on the anti-competitive practices highlighted in the report,” VIVAS said.
